Purchases of UpToDate can be made from September 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
To be eligible for a maximum reimbursement of $345.00 CAD, you can purchase the UpToDate online one-year subscription from the UpToDate webstore. Please complete the expense reimbursement process.* Proof of purchase with receipts is required for reimbursement.
*The Rx Transitions for Mental Health™ and or the UpToDate MobileComplete™ upgrades are not eligible for reimbursement.
You will be required to provide proof of status. Go to Step 4 to read about this requirement before you begin your purchase transaction.
Purchasing UpToDate Subscription
Step 1. Go the UpToDate webstore and Select the Purchase UpToDate option
Step 2. Select the following options: Canada, Student or Resident and Physician from the New Users section
*Note: There isn’t a dietetic student/trainee option. You can select any one of the professions listed from the drop-down list.
Step 3. Select the UpToDate Online 1 Year option from the Select a Term section.
*Note: The Rx Transitions for Mental Health™ and or the UpToDate MobileComplete™ upgrades are not eligible for reimbursement; if you decide to purchase these upgrades you will not be reimbursed for them.
Step 4: Online registration, payment and proof of status.
*Note: Complete all the required fields. When completing the Personal Information section of the online registration form remember to select:
Role: Student and Residents
Profession: Same one you selected at the beginning of this process
Medical Concentration: select any one of the concentrations listed in the drop-down list
DPP Students (are considered trainees) Proof of Status is Required
To purchase UpToDate Online at the discounted rate, DPP students must submit a valid proof of status. Proof of status can be submitted on the order confirmation page after you have placed your order.
UpToDate will accept the following formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, doc or docx.
DPP students must provide at least one of the items below as proof of their trainee status:
- Signed, dated letter from the manager of your program on letterhead from the institution stating that you are currently in training and in good standing;
- Copy of the first and last page of your current contract indicating your dietetic trainee status and date; or,
- Legible copy of an ID badge bearing your name, dietetic trainee status designation and future expiration date.
Once you have completed the purchase of your UpToDate subscription you will need to complete the expense reimbursement process. Proof of purchase with receipts is required for reimbursement.
