When using the library space, during regular or after hours, you agree to follow the below rules and regulations:
- Students must always swipe their own card upon entry after hours. Please enter the library one at a time, each swiping your own card. Do not swipe other students in.
- Sign in at the After Hours Station.
- Do not share your door access card with others. After hours entry will be associated with your card and therefore, you.
- Use only the main library door to enter and exit the library. The emergency doors are armed and a continuous alarm will sound if opened.
- The library door must remain closed at all times. Do not prop the library door open. It is both a fire and security hazard. This will result in suspension of your after hours access to the library.
- Do not open the library door should someone knock or ring the doorbell. Only door access card holders are permitted access to the library after hours.
- If you witness any suspicious behaviour in the library, contact security: (Sudbury) Laurentian University Security Control Centre (SCC) at 705-673-6562 (Thunder Bay); Lakehead University Security (807) 343-8569.
- The library is a quiet space. We ask that you respect others using the space by maintaining a quiet atmosphere.
- Keep cell phones on vibrate. If others are in the library with you, take phone calls outside.
- Library users are not permitted behind the Information Desk.
- Food and drink are permitted. You are required to clean up after yourself. There are paper towels and disinfectant wipes at the After Hours Station. After hours access, on an individual or university level, could be compromised if the library experiences issues with cleanliness.
- Do not attempt to troubleshoot issues with the printer. Please email askthelibrary@nosm.ca to be attended to the next business day.
- Check out library materials after hours at the After Hours Station. During Information Desk hours, visit the Information Desk.
- Send non-urgent concerns related to library space and access to askthelibrary@nosm.ca.
